The Graduate Program in English at the University of Kentucky currently offers three graduate degrees: a Master of Arts in English, a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, and a Doctor of Philosophy in English. The Department of English consists of 41 full-time faculty members and 94 graduate students, across the MA, MFA, and PhD programs. The department offers a range of courses in British, American, African-American, and Women’s Literature, Creative Writing, Film, and Literary Theory.
English Department programs are made possible by a nationally recognized faculty, a strongly supportive University of Kentucky Research Foundation, an active university press, and a research library of 1.2 million volumes.
