The College of New Jersey is an exemplar of the best in public higher education and consistently is acknowledged as one of the top comprehensive colleges in the nation.

TCNJ also offers these outstanding professional, intersession, and pre-college programs:

Graduate Programs

in Education, Counseling, Nursing, English, and Women’s and Gender Studies

Through advanced courses and programs in education, educational leadership, counseling, nursing, and English, graduate study at The College of New Jersey stresses inquiry, critical thinking, intellectual integrity, and professional collaboration. With an emphasis on connections across theory, research, and practice, and in a broad array of settings serving diverse populations, we provide high-quality and fully-accredited programs. Graduate students at TCNJ are prepared to be leaders who will make a difference in their professions or disciplines and in society.

Summer and Winter Sessions

including travel, online, blended, learning, and on-campus courses

The College of New Jersey offers intersession during summer and winter breaks. These intersessions allow both current TCNJ students and visiting students from other institutions to take courses on our campus and, through selected travel courses, on other campuses and abroad.

Pre-College Programs

for high school students

The Bonner Foundation is a nationally renowned organization that fosters community engaged learning on college campuses. The College of New Jersey is privileged to have a partnership with this extraordinary organization. The Bonner Center at TCNJ focuses on learning through community service—we call it community engaged learning. As a Summer Bonner Fellow, students learn and serve with college students from one of the best “domestic peace corps” programs in the country. They live on one of the most beautiful campuses in the region, have the option to earn four college credits, meet like-minded students, as well as build their service portfolio for high school graduation requirements or college applications.

The College of New Jersey has once again, and for the 17th consecutive year, been named as the top public college on U.S. News and World Report’s list of Best Universities-Master’s category for the northern region of the country. The College is currently 6th in the standings among 165 public and private institutions ranked as the Best Universities-Master’s category for the north.
