Shuttle service between the airport and downtown hotels is available via SuperShuttle. Shuttles run between 4:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. After 11:00 p.m. and before 4:30 a.m. please call SuperShuttle to arrange pick up. The SuperShuttle service desk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Regular fares are $19 one-way or $34 round-trip. Sigma Tau Delta’s discounted fares are $15 one-way or $24 round-trip plus a 10% fuel surcharge. Exclusive vans for up to 10 people and their luggage are available for $85 with no surcharge. Discounts require advance online registration and do not include gratuity. Light rail trains run every 10 minutes during peak hours and every 10 to 15 minutes at other times of the day. From either Terminal 1 or 2 at MSP Airport, the northbound BLUE LINE Light Rail can take you to downtown Minneapolis in about 25 minutes. When on the BLUE line transit traveling northbound, exit at the Warehouse/Hennepin Avenue Station & Platform (Hennepin Ave & S 5th Street). Look for any bus traveling south on Hennepin Ave (10, 11, 17, 18, 25, 59, 568) at the bus stop on Hennepin Avenue and 5th Street. Your light rail ticket is also a bus ticket. Ride until the fifth stop at Nicollet & Grant, and walk 1 block northbound to the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis (1300 Nicollet Mall). Light rail fares are $2.25 during rush hours (Monday through Friday, 6 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 6:30 p.m.) and $1.75 at other times. Tickets are sold at ticket machines at the rail stations. You may also get off the light rail at the Nicollet Mall station and walk 8 blocks south along the pedestrian mall to the Hyatt Regency. Light Rail and Free Ride Bus Routes
Sigma Tau Delta has arranged for a 10% discount off the best available Amtrak fare to Minneapolis, MN, between February 27 and March 8, 2016, for attendees going to and from the convention. (No other discounts will apply.) To book your reservation call Amtrak at 1-800-872-7245 or contact your local travel agent. Convention fares cannot be booked online. Be sure to refer to Amtrak Convention Fare Code X89Y-935 when making your reservation. The discounted convention fare is valid on Amtrak Regional for all departures seven days a week between the designated dates, including Sleepers, Business Class, or First Class seats with payment of the full applicable accommodation charges. This offer is not valid on the Auto Train and Acela Service.
Faculty and students can use the above 10% discount. Alternatively, Amtrak offers a 15% student discount for students who purchase either a Student Advantage Card or International Student Identification Card.
